TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION:

For the needs of investor, the company Metalska Industrija Varaždin (MIV) JSC. a double-girder bridge crane with a load capacity of 8 t / 3,2 t, a bridge span of 13,075 m and a lift height of 7,27 m (for a hoist with a load capacity of 8 t) and a lift height of 7,35 m (for a hoist with a load capacity of 3,2 t) was designed, manufactured, installed, tested and put into operation. The double-girder bridge crane was mounted on the crane tracks inside the production hall, ie the foundry, of the investor in Varaždin.

 

All working movements of the crane, namely: lowering / raising the load, driving the bridge and the driving driven trolleys (on which both hoists are mounted) are electrically driven with frequency converters that ensure easy starting and stopping with continuous acceleration or deceleration of working movements, without jerking and strokes.

 

The crane is controlled via a remote radio control unit, and a low-voltage cable control unit is installed as a backup control in case of emergency.

 

The crane basically consists of the following parts:

  • steel crane construction, consisting of:
    • two main girders of box cross-section measuring 700 x 300 mm,
    • end carriages with electric drive motors,
  • driving trolleys with two rope hoists with nominal capacities of 8 t and 3,2 t,
  • electrical equipment to power the crane devices and controls.

 

An electric motor rope hoist of special design is installed as a lifting mechanism. The hoist trolleys consists of two electric rope hoists and electrically driven trolleys.

 

The lifting mechanism consists of two independent electric rope hoists with a load capacity of 8 t and 3,2 t, manufactured by „MISIA PARANCHI S.R.L.“ Italy, where the 8 t hoist is type: XM525VS4H7/5, while the 3,2 t hoist is type: XM308VS4H7/5.

 

The drive of the bridge is performed with two independent gear motors manufactured by "MISIA PARANCHI S.R.L." Italy, which are installed on the end carriages manufactured by "MISIA PARANCHI S.R.L." Italy, type: DG2525-40-8.

 

Due to the conditions and frequency of operation, the crane is classified in the A5 operating class, according to the standard HRN ISO 4301-5.

 

The electrical equipment of the crane consists of:

  • electric motors of crane lifting mechanisms with brakes,
  • two electric motors with a brake for driving a hoist trolleys,
  • two electric motors with brakes for driving the bridge,
  • limit switches to switch off the lift drive, hoist trolleys drive and bridge drive,
  • anti-overload devices,
  • radio remote control unit,
  • suspended cable control unit with reduced voltage (reserve),
  • main switches, and
  • power and control cables within the crane itself.
