TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION:

For the needs of the investor Monter - strojarske montaže JSC a single-girder bridge crane project was made. The maximum load capacity of the crane is 10 t, and the span of the bridge is 15,2 m, while the lifting height is 6,6 m. The crane is mounted in the production hall in the company Monter - strojarske montaže JSC in Zagreb.

All working movements of the crane, which are: driving the bridge, driving the hoist and lifting and lowering the load, are electrically driven.

The crane is operated from the floor by a radio remote control with reduced voltage, if that fails crane is equipped as well with spare pendant control station.

The electrical equipment of the crane consists of:

• electric motor of the lifting mechanism with brake,
• electric motors with brakes for driving a hoist,
• two electric motors with brakes for driving the bridge,
• control cabinet,
• limit switches for switching off the lift drive, the hoist drive and the bridge drive,
• radio remote control button with reduced voltage,
• spare pendant control station,
• anti-collision device,
• main switches, and
• power and control cables within the crane itself.

As the crane is located on a crane track on which one crane has previously been mounted, it is equipped with a device that prevents a collision with another crane.

At the ends of the crane tracks, steel bumpers were installed as safety against the crane falling off the tracks. In the same way, the movement of the driving hoist along the main crane girder is limited.
