TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION:

For the needs of the investor, the company Capax Ltd., a project of a column jib crane with a nominal load capacity of 500 kg, a hook reach from the axis of rotation of 3,2 m and a lifting height of 2,53 m was made. The purpose of the crane is to manipulate marine engines during their testing.

As a lifting mechanism, an electric chain drive hoist manufactured by "KITO" Japan with an electric motor lifting drive was installed. The lifting drive is two-speed, controlled via a frequency converter and the trolley driving drive is performed manually by pulling a load or a hook.

The electric chain hoist is controlled from the floor by means of a suspended cable control unit with reduced voltage, while the rotation of the console is performed by pulling or pushing the load or hook.

The steel construction of the crane consists of:

• column, and
• console, on which the hoist is traveling.

The electrical equipment of the crane consists of:

• electrical cabinet,
• electric driving hoist for lifting loads,
• suspended cable control unit with reduced voltage,
• main switches, and
• power and control cables within the crane itself.
