TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION:

For the investor, company Holcim Ltd., we designed, manufactured, installed, tested and put into operation a monorail crane that was installed in the company's production plant. The monorail crane has a load capacity of 2,5 t, the length of the monorail track is 12 m, which is curved in one part in the amount of 55 °, while the lifting height is 7,085 m.

 

The monorail track is 12 m long and is made of hot-rolled steel profile NPI 300. The monorail track is installed in the first two fields of the plant room and mounted on three reinforced concrete ceiling beams using steel supports. The first segment, with a total length of 6 m, is in its first part flat in the length of 3300 mm, and then curved in a radius of 2500 mm and an exit angle of 55 °, followed by a flat part of length 300 mm.

 

An electric driving hoist is installed as a lifting mechanism, which consists of an electric trolleys and an electric chain hoist manufactured by "KITO" Japan, type: ER2M025IS-IS. The lifting / lowering movements of the load and the movement of the hoist along the monorail track are performed in two speeds and controlled by frequency converters.

 

The crane is operated from the floor using a radio remote control, and a suspended cable control unit with reduced voltage is installed as a spare.

 

The electrical equipment of the crane consists of:

• electric motor with lift brake,

• limit switches to switch off the lift / lower drive,

• electric motors for driving the hoist along the driving tracks,

• radio remote control and spare suspended cable control unit with reduced voltage,

• main switch, and

• power and control cables within the crane itself.
