TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION:

For the needs of investor, the company Inmel Ltd., a single-girder bridge crane was designed, and it was manufactured and installed. The maximum load capacity of the crane is 500 kg and the span of the bridge is 5,8 m, while the lifting height is 3,03 m. The crane is mounted in the production hall of the company Inmel Ltd. in Kostrena.

All working movements of the crane, namely: driving the bridge, suspended hoist and lifting and lowering the load, are electrically driven. All drives are two-speed and frequency-controlled, ensuring a smooth start, a smooth transition between speeds and a soft stop without dynamic shocks.

The crane is operated from the floor by means of a suspended control button with reduced voltage.

The single-girder bridge crane consists of:

  • steel structure, consisting of:
    • main girder produced from IPE profile,
    • end carriages,
  • electric driving hoist, and
  • electrical equipment.

The electrical equipment of the crane consists of:

  • electric motor with brake for lifting drive,
  • electric motor with brake for driving a hoist,
  • two electric motors with a brake for driving a bridge,
  • control cabinet,
  • limit switches for switching off the lift / lower drive, the hoist drive and the bridge drive,
  • suspended cable control unit with reduced voltage,
  • main switches, and
  • power and control cables within the crane itself.

The movement of the hoist along the main girder is limited by the limit switch to switch off the drive when the hoist is located at the end of the main girder, before the rigid bumpers, and allows the direction of movement only in the opposite direction.

Rigid bumpers are installed at the ends of the main girder to prevent the hoist from falling off the main girder of the crane.

The movement of the crane along the crane tracks is limited by an end cross switch that switches off the drive of the bridge and it is only possible to move in the opposite direction.

At the ends of the crane tracks, rigid bumpers have been installed as a safety against the crane falling off the tracks. The control unit has a red emergency stop button (mushroom-shaped) which switches off all crane drives.
