- bridge travel speed (frequency controlled): 20/5 m/min
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION:
For the needs of the investor, the company Cortizo Adria Ltd., a project of a hanging bridge crane was made, and it was produced and installed in the production hall of the company in Sesvete. The maximum load capacity of the crane is 1,6 t, the span of the bridge is 24 m, while the lifting height is 5,9 m.
The working movements of the crane: driving the bridge and driving the hoist, and lifting/lowering the load are performed using electric motors in two speeds, which are frequently controlled. All functions of the crane are controlled by means of a suspended control unit with reduced voltage.
The main crane support is made as a box support made of 12 mm and 8 mm thick sheets.
A single-girder bridge crane consists of:
- steel structure, consisting of:
- main support produced as a box girder made of sheet metal,
- end carriages manufactured from NPU profiles,
- electric hoist with suspended control unit with reduced voltage,
- electric installation.
The electrical equipment of the crane consists of:
- electric motor of the lifting mechanism with brake,
- electric motor with brake for driving a hoist,
- two electric motors with brake for driving the bridge,
- control cabinet,
- limit switches for switching off the lift drive, the hoist drive and the bridge drive,
- suspended control unit with reduced voltage,
- main switches, and
- power and control cables within the crane itself.
As a safety device for moving the crane along the crane tracks, an end switch, or cross switch, is installed on the side bracket that shuts off the crane's drive before encountering the bumpers, and its adjustment must be done before the crane is put into operation.
At the ends of the crane track, steel bumpers were installed as a safety against the crane falling off the tracks.
In the same way, the movement of the hoist along the main crane girder is limited, while a cross switch is installed on the hoist with the aim of stopping the hoist on the main girder to avoid collisions with bumpers.
