TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION:

For the needs of the investor, company Elcon Geraetebau Ltd., a project of two suspended single-girder bridge cranes was made. The maximum load capacity of the cranes are 2 t and 500 kg, the bridge span of both cranes is 5,94 m, and the maximum lift height of the crane with a load capacity of 2 t is 2,786 m, while the lift height of the crane with a load capacity of 500 kg is 2,955 m. The cranes were mounted on the crane track in the company's production hall in Rijeka.

 

All working movements of both cranes: bridge driving, hoist driving and lifting / lowering of cargo, are performed in two speeds, using a frequency converters, and they are controlled with a suspended cable pendant control station with reduced voltage.

 

Single-girder bridge cranes consist of:

  • steel structure, consisting of:
    • main girder of a crane with a load capacity of 2 t is manufactured from HEB profiles,
    • main girder of a crane with a load capacity of 500 kg is manufactured from an IPE profile,
    • all end carriages are manufactured from HEA profiles,
  • driving hoists with a capacity of 2 t and 500 kg,
  • electrical equipment installed on both cranes.

 

The electrical equipment of each crane consists of:

  • electric motor of the lifting mechanism with brakes,
  • electric motor with brake for driving a hoists,
  • two electric motors with brakes for driving the bridges,
  • control cabinets,
  • limit switches for switching off the lifting / lowering drive,
  • the hoists drive and the bridge drive,
  • suspended cable pendant control station with reduced voltage,
  • main switches, and
  • power and control cables within the crane itself.

 

In addition to the above electrical equipment, both cranes are equipped with photoelectric sensors that turn off the drive of the bridge in order to prevent collisions of cranes.
