Marina crane SKD-RM 15 t / 5,5 m
PROJECT NAME: Marina crane SKD-RM 15 t / 5,5 m
INVESTOR: Sailing club Orsan
LOCATION: Dubrovnik
YEAR OF PRODUCTION: 2006.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
- maximum crane capacity: 15 t
- hook reach: 5,5 m
- lifting height: 9 m
- load lifting speed: 4/1 m/min
- console rotation speed: 0,3 1/min
- console rotation angle: unlimited
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION:
According to the request of the investor, sailing club Orsan, we designed, manufactured, assembled, tested and put into operation an electric column jib crane for marina with a load capacity of 15 t, reach of a console 5,5 m and a lifting height of 9 m. The crane is installed on the operational shore of the sailing club Orsan, for the purpose of lifting / lowering the vessels from / into the sea and is equipped with a cross spreader.
Due to the conditions and frequency of operation the crane is classified in the I. operating class. The lifting / lowering of the load as well as the rotation of the console are electrically driven.
The angle of rotation of the console is unlimited, while the crane has a fixed hook reach. The crane is controlled via a remote radio control unit, and as a backup, a cable control unit is installed in control cabinet on the service platform.
The steel construction of the jib crane basically consists of:
- load-bearing column,
- console, and
- service platforms with climbers.
As a lifting mechanism, we installed an electric hoist manufactured by "MISIA PARANCHI S.R.L." Milan, Italy, type: ME 160 SR4 TNA / 5-D-4, which is mounted in standing position, and it is bolted to the base inside the engine room.
The electrical equipment of the crane consists of:
- planetary gear motor, for crane console rotation drive,
- electric hoist for lifting loads,
- rotary switch,
- control cabinet,
- radio remote control unit and cable control unit,
- main switches, and
- power and control cables within the crane itself.
In addition to the SKD-RM 15 t / 5,5 m jib column crane, a hook-mounted cross spreader was also supplied. Two polyester straps are hung on four-point on cross spreader and they cover the hull of a ship rising or lowering into the sea. The load capacity of the cross spreader is equivalent to the load capacity of the crane itself.
