Marina cranes are used in marinas to manipulate ships that are lowered in or raised from the sea. The two basic types of marina cranes are derrick and column marina cranes. Derrick cranes have a limited angle of rotation, while column marina cranes for marinas can have an overhead hoist, and rotation can be limited or infinite. All working movements of the derrick and column marina cranes, namely: lifting / lowering the load, rotating the console and driving the suspensioned trolley along the console, are electrically driven.
