TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION:

According to the request of the investor, company Valalta Ltd., we designed, manufactured, installed, tested and put into operation an electric column jib crane with a load capacity of 6,3 t, hook reach 6,1 m and a lifting height of 7,24 m. The crane was installed on the operating shore of company Valalta Ltd., for lifting / lowering vessels from / into the sea, and is equipped with a cross spreader.

 

Given the conditions and frequency of operation, the crane is classified in II. operating class. The lifting/lowering of the load as well as the rotation of the console are electrically driven.

 

The angle of rotation of the console is unlimited, while the crane has a fixed hook reach. The crane is controlled via a remote radio control unit, and as a backup, a cable control unit is installed in control cabinet on the service platform.

 

The steel construction of the jib crane basically consists of:

• load-bearing column,
• console and
• service platform with climbers.

 

The lifting mechanism consists of an electric hoist manufactured by "MISIA PARANCHI S.R.L." Milan, Italy, type: XM316NS4H7A / 5 and a set of turn pulleys on top of the support rope guide, and a hook assembly with a load capacity of 6,3 t.

 

The electrical equipment of the crane consists of:

• planetary gear motor, for crane console rotation drive,
• electric hoist for lifting loads,
• rotary switch,
• control cabinet,
• radio remote control unit and cable control unit,
• main switches, and
• power and control cables within the crane itself.
