Davit cranes consist of an inclined boom, which can be fixed or adjustable and is mounted on a base around which it rotates around the vertical axis. The crane can be fixed or portable, in which case the base is fixed or mobile with counterweights. The crane is used to raise and lower loads weighing up to 1,000 kg. Davit cranes can also be used for lifting personnel, where their load capacity can be a maximum of 300 kg.
